October 2023 Home for the Holidays Paper Pumpkin Kit

Updated: Oct 25

I fell in love with this Paper Pumpkin kit the second I opened it. Paper Pumpkin is a great kit all the time, but with October and November kits, Stampin Up! always out does itself!! Now sometimes, Paper Pumpkin kits are not my style or something I would normally make. But with all the alternatives on Pinterest and Youtube, I always make them up and send or gift them out. This month I came up with 2 fancy fold alternatives on my own.

If you missed out this month, you can still order the Home for the Holidays refill (consumable parts of the kit). But warning, you have to be a subscriber. If you subscribe with me, whether it's your fist time trying Paper Pumpkin, or time to renew your subscription, you can buy the refill and I will send you this month's stamp set (I only have 2 so it will be to the first 2 who take advantage). Just add a little ink and you will have everything you need to complete the kit.

Add a sheet or 2 of Night of Navy and Basic White cards stock and you can make my fancy fold alternatives. Below is a video of step by step instructions.

Here's the measurements for my cards:

*Night of Navy 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

scored @ 4 1/4 & 2 1/8"

*Basic White 2 cut @ 2 1/4" x 3/4" and

1 cut @ 2 1/4" x 1/2" all

scored @ 1/4", 1/2" 1 1/4", 1 1/2" (this makes the pop-up mechanism).

*I cut down the house pieces to be 4" wide.

*I cut down the card base from the kit to be 5 1/4" x 4"

*Night of Navy 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" (cut away 2 3/4" of the top of the card base).

*I cut down the card base from the kit to be 5 1/4" x 4"

and the house pieces to be 4" wide.

The stamp set mentioned above have all been spoken for.
